NBAREA Member Directory
Under NB law only members of NBAREA can practice real estate appraisal in NB.
Use the member directory to confirm whether a person is a member of NBAREA, and therefore authorized to practice real estate appraisal in the province of New Brunswick.
Looking to hire an appraiser?
The member directory lists all appraisers who are registered to practice in NB, including both “Fee” and “Non-Fee” appraisers.

- “Fee appraisers” provide appraisal services for the general public. If you are looking to hire an appraiser, search for a Fee appraiser.
- “Non-Fee appraisers” are employed by government departments and agencies, financial institutions, or other companies. This includes such employers as the Federal and Provincial governments and CMHC.

AACI/DAC/EA/MAI
These members are qualified to offer valuation and consulting services and expertise for all types of real property.
The specific designation depends on the organization through which the member completed their initial education and training.
- AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) from the Appraisal Institute of Canada
- DAC (Designated Appraiser Commercial) from the Canadian National Association of Real Estate Appraisers
- EA (Évaluateur Agrée) from the Ordres des Evaluateurs Agrées du Quebec
- MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) from the Appraisal Institute (in the US)
CRA/DAR/EA/SRA
These members are qualified to offer valuation and consulting services and expertise for individual, undeveloped residential dwelling sites and dwellings containing not more than four self-contained family housing units.
- CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) from the Appraisal Institute of Canada
- DAR (Designated Appraiser Residential) from the Canadian National Association of Real Estate Appraisers
- EA (Évaluateur Agrée) from the Ordres des Evaluateurs Agrées du Quebec
- SRA (Senior Residential Appraiser) from the Appraisal Institute (in the US)
Candidate
These members are required to have their reports co-signed by a designated member in good standing and registered in the Province of New Brunswick. Candidates are pursuing designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) or the Canadian National Association of Real Estate Appraisers (CNAREA).
