2011 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
FREDERICTON, NEW BRUNSWICK
As the current year’s president of NBAREA I am pleased to provide the membership with this annual report.
Despite a few hiccups, things have been pretty smooth over the past year. I attended the AIC conference in Victoria on behalf of NBAREA. A well attended conference and hopefully this year’s conference in Moncton will be just as successful.
We held several Board of Director meetings and I participated in several Provincial Association President’s conference calls.
During the past year we dealt with the AIC/NBAREA Affiliation Agreement and hopefully a signed agreement will be here today at our AGM. Thank you David Babineau for your work on this file.
I would like to thank the Board of Directors, Committee Chairs and members for their time as volunteers for our association. Thanks to those who are completing their terms, those who have agreed to return and to our new members.
I would especially like to thank our Executive Directors, Jennifer, Louise and Rachel for keeping our Association going. Louise, who had replaced Jennifer while on maternity leave had to step down suddenly during her pregnancy and Rachel took over the helm. Thanks to Julie Clarke and Kim Tucker for taking on the task of finding Rachel. I am sure not all of you know that Jennifer, Louise and Rachel all come from CFB Gagetown as their spouses are all in the military.
In closing, I wish incoming president Craig Hennigar a good 2011/2012 and trust he will represent NBAREA well at the upcoming AIC National Conference in Moncton.

Je suis heureux de présenter ce rapport annuel aux membres de l’AEINB à titre de président pour l’année qui vient de s’écouler.
Malgré quelques contretemps, la dernière année s’est avérée positive. En tant que représentant de l’AEINB, j’ai participé avec de nombreux autres délégués au congrès de l’ICE qui a eu lieu à Victoria. Il est espéré que la rencontre de cette année, à Moncton, remportera autant de succès.
Nous avons tenu plusieurs réunions du conseil d’administration et j’ai participé à plusieurs téléconférences des présidents d’association provinciale.
Nous avons négocié l’entente d’affiliation entre l’ICE et l’AEINB et j’espère qu’on pourra vous présenter une entente signée, ici à l’AGA. Je tiens à remercier David Babineau pour le travail qu’il a accompli dans ce dossier.
Je remercie également les membres du conseil d’administration ainsi que les présidents et les membres de nos divers comités pour le temps qu’ils ont consacré bénévolement à notre association. Merci aux personnes qui terminent leur mandat, à celles qui le poursuivent et aux nouveaux membres des comités.
J’offre des remerciements tout à fait particuliers à nos directrices générales, Jennifer, Louise et Rachel, qui ont assuré le bon fonctionnement de notre association. Louise, qui avait remplacé Jennifer pendant un congé de maternité, a dû quitter son poste soudainement pendant sa propre grossesse, après quoi Rachel a pris la relève. Merci aussi à Julie Clark et à Kim Tucker d’avoir accepté la tâche de trouver Rachel! Nos membres ne le savent peut-être pas, mais Jennifer, Louise et Rachel habitent toutes sur la base des Forces canadiennes de Gagetown, car leurs maris sont des militaires.
Pour terminer, je souhaite une bonne année 2011-2012 à notre nouveau président, Craig Hennigar. Je suis convaincu qu’il représentera bien l’AEINB lors du congrès national de l’ICE qui se déroulera bientôt à Moncton.
